Since most production processes are sequential in nature, work flows from one process to another. The production or delivery of components are pulled through the production processes based solely on actual customer demand when Kanban methodology is used. This stands in stark contrast to the traditional forecast oriented method where parts are pushed through the production processes based on customer demand speculation.
